Mount Antero Access

No sane person would attempt access yet.  Check with us for current conditions.  Do not take this mountain lightly as conditions change and, if you've never been up, be advised that the drive is very challenging (not to mention the weather).

Mount Antero - Travel Channel Episode

We hope you saw the "Rocky Mountain Gems" episode of Treasure Hunter on the Travel Channel. We escorted Kirsten Gum and her crew up to Mount Antero. Weather interferred with our aquamarine hunting but Kirsten unearthed a great smoky quartz from the Subway Pocket.  We also have some smaller specimens from the Subway Pocket for sale. If you missed the program come by the store and watch the DVD.  See photos of our trip

Specimen Sale

Donna has put together mineral specimens for clearance at $1 to $5. There are some good deals so check it out.  We have also created a whole case of half price minerals.  As always we diligently try to keep our prices reasonable.

Diane's Pocket

I still have a few pieces of aquamarine from Diane's Pocket (Mount Antero).  This is the pocket from which a very large plate was reconstructed and now resides at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  Hurry to get your own crystal from the famous pocket.  More about Diane's Pocket

Ruby Mountain

Come and see the large garnets from Ruby Mountain.  They'll give you inspiration for your own hunt.  This collecting spot is easily accessible and lots of fun for the kids (of all sizes).
